Quick introduction, hi! 👋
I’m a young, twenty-something-year-old early startup employee that loves to vacuum new information.
On average I walk 11.4 kilometers a day while listening to podcasts and books. During these walks, I many times find interesting or thoughtful insights.
I also find myself disagreeing a lot with the podcast hosts and developing my own points and insights. (For some reason, my brain works like an English teacher, who is trying to find the mistakes in the essay.)
The problem is that many of the ideas that could be interesting or valuable just brush off my brain. That’s why I’m starting to write these things down and build a catalog of the most interesting ideas.
I don’t want this to feel like work. I’ll only write the write only about the stuff that I find exciting or I disagree with. I’m focusing on keeping it short and interesting.
What media do I consume?
What information we put into our brains is the biggest thing impacting what thoughts we have and how we think. I’ve not been very thoughtful on what do I consume but more just consumed whatever I’ve felt like. Maybe with exception of TikTok where I’ve put a 30-minute limit, since I just can’t resist it.
For the classical news, I’m still using Facebook for finding a lot. Besides Facebook filtered news I’ve lately found the Chrome discover tab to have a lot of interesting articles and news. I also read a bit of Bloomberg, The New York Times, and my country's local news outlets.
For the books Audible is my main source of the material. In there the biggest categories that I read are business, history, and self-development. For fiction, I’m actually reading some Chinese Wuxian that pushes out a new chapter daily.
As for the podcasts, they are mostly about startups, investing, and business. I’m also listening to some that are more about society or politics. Here are some of the ones that I listen listed starting from the ones I listen the most:
If you have some good suggestions for what I should definitely add to the list, please email, tweet, or comment about it.
Publishing schedule and getting subscribers
The minimum amount of publishing that I’m going to do is going to be once a week with a post on Sundays.
Besides that, I might be doing any number of additional posts, but more about those later.
I’m also thinking that updating you on how the newsletter is growing and where have I gotten the new subscribers could be interesting. So now at zero, not even my mom is following the newsletter. Click and subscribe!
